Kimchi the Hei Hei Way - Appalachian Korean Pogi Style!

Kimchi the Hei Hei Way - Appalachian Korean Pogi Style!

This kimchi is near and dear to us. Inspired by my family recipe passed down to me from my aunt, “Imo.”

Our kimchi is vegan, gluten free, and is naturally fermented w/ living probiotics.

100% of the vegetables and fruit are from local farms grown by our friends at Trouvaille Farm, Attican Farms, Shade River Farm, and Wagner’s Fruit Farm. These farmers practice beyond organic methods for growing exceptionally delicious and healthy produce.

Our kimchi is vegan, gluten free, and is naturally fermented w/ living probiotics.

What makes our kimchi different?

We make ours “pogi style”- which means that whole cabbage leaves are fermented in cold temperatures. This is a technique used in homes in Korea to keep the kimchi sweet and crunchy instead of the sour mushy kimchi that’s usually sold in stores. Because this type of kimchi is labor intensive it is difficult to do on a large scale. Our kimchi is handmade and hand-packed into each jar. It’s as close as you can get to having premium homemade kimchi from Korea.

You can purchase kimchi directly from our online store.

Kimchi is available for pick up at ACEnet on Thursdays between 5-7pm. We’re also offering delivery in Athens for orders $30 or more.

We’ll also be at the Athens Farmers Market (outside) this Saturday 3/1 9AM-12PM

Or pick up a jar at Kindred Market starting 2/26.

We are offering a pint and a quart size. For kimchi lovers, you save on the quart size, and it will last months in your fridge.

See you at the market <3
